Sheka is a farm in the West of Ethiopia bordering Illubabor and Wollega and close to Bench Maji. The are is a Unesco protected forest, rich in honey and in endemic plants and birds. The farm is 151 ha, and is called Kawo Kamina. Sheka and Bensa Special Fermentation, are anaerobic processes, where coffee after being cleaned and selected, sits in Stainless steal tanks for 60 hours and is then dried in elevated African beds. This process produces strong fruity and winey tastes. Sheka came to our life unexpectedly and after a lot of search. A sanctuary of birds, animals and trees, this place is ideal for coffee, and also eco tourism. In this land, they grow, process and prepare their very own coffee as well as coffee from the neighouring farmers. The buzz word is Sustainability, our Buzz word is Preservation and growth.
