CUPPING NOTES: Caramel, hazelnut, molasses and yellow fruits. Sweet fruity acidity. Balanced body. Cherry bright aftertaste.

 

Regional + Producer Information

The farm was established in 1876 and started producing coffee in 1940. 
Clean water source: Agua Tibia farm has many water springs that are currently feeding the 25% 
of the drinking water delivered to Guatemala city.

Responsible farm practices: The pest and deceases control program 
adopted by the farm is intentionally focused on reducing the applications 
of agrochemicals as well as synthetic fertilizers by using in the first place 
shade trees of legume species (Inga) capable to capture Nitrogen from the atmosphere and fix it into the soil, 
also the leaves and roots provides with tones of organic matter all the time 
The soil conservation is also a priority, using live barriers
and planting the coffee in contours to retain the nutrients and avoid the erosion of the soil
resources.
